We are pleased and proud to announce the formation of an organization for the American and International Miniature Llamas enthusiast...

The International Miniature Llama Federation, Inc.  (IMLF)

This organization in no way detracts from, nor is in competition with, any other organization in which the Miniature Llamas' welfare and interests are paramount.  However, with the Miniature Llama getting more and more recognition both in the U.S. and Internationally, the IMLF recognizes the need to address issues regarding the Miniature Llama, not only here in the United States, but in other countries as well.  With the increased awareness of these remarkable and highly intelligent animals, it is essential that educating those who have an interest in Miniature Llamas is paramount if the Mini is to flourish and remain a healthy and vital component of the llama/alpaca industry in general.

The IMLF's five key elements of focus and participation will be:  research, education, enhancement, functionality and representation.  Articles of interest, including veterinary advice and a question and answer section will be highlighted.  Exchange of ideas will be encouraged.  Information regarding breeding for the perpetuation of healthy Miniature Llamas will be included as this is critical in an industry where low numbers of these animals has the potential to create a gene-pool disaster if careful attention to diversification is not carefully considered and adhered to in breeding programs.

For those who are passionate about the Miniature Llama,  these areas of interest and so much more will be explored and brought to the forefront.  While striving to improve and maintain an ongoing healthy growth in the industry,  you will be met with a venue of equally enthusiastic mini-llama owners world-wide who share in their zeal for the perpetuation of the Miniature Llama.
